So video explains most..after listening to the video after the knock is a lot more clearer. i dont know the order of the pistons, but my best guess would be the middle of the right head that is knocking. definitely the right head though.
this is weird to me, because isn't lifter knock irrelevant for a intake clean job? but it did it after i put it together?

Here is some pics of the job when i tore it apart. sorry about the orientation, i cant get these dang pics to rotate.

put in new intake gasket, this old one was crap.

Only some of the gunk that i wiped off...

i removed the backing plastic guard off the headlight for more air flow..i must say i got a lot more throttle response after this job and intake mod. still need a coupler and new hose for an isr mod though.

I've also got bad news..there is pressure in the coolant..exhaust smells sweet after warming up... but i dont lose much coolant..
My radiator is beat up and leaking..
Also, think my Tstat is bad. upper radiator hot, lower cool. last resort is to remove the Tstat and see what constant flow does for me.
im probably going to fix everything but HG and then sell this before the HG's go. i've got a kid on the way, so i dont have enough $$ for a 5vzfe swap, not even enough time either to do whatever potential work a HG job will reveal..

in correlation to my bit of HG issue... take a look at my oil..hard to see but dipstick shows the oil is all the way up to F
It is not milky by any means. Looks just like honey. can my HG's still be going out anyways?

Ive seen 2 3.0 headgasket failures....both were external on drivers side last cylinder. So yes, a hg can leak and not milkshake the motor oil.

No offense..vid was really hard to tell anything.

would re-torquing the heads be worth a try?
