Question Lift Manufacturer question for 88 yota IFS

I have an 88 pickup with IFS and would like to lift it. What manufacturers makes a decent lift? What do you have? Do you like it? What don't you like about it? Am NOT interested in full axle swap. Thanks in advance

I have a 4" Rancho lift that was on there when I bought it. It rides stiff but is not too bad depending on the road. Off-road is a rough ride.

Lift it why? How much? Purpose? Etc.

Some specificity will help folks offer better information.

follow-up

I would like to go with a 4 inch suspension lift. Will see the street some but mostly going to and from / for trail riding and mud. No rock crawling.

What size tires do you want to run on your truck? I'm running a 33x10.50 stock on my 91 pickup and it work really well offroad. If you are wanting to run something larger then you might want to run a 4inch suspension lift. I would suggest Pro Comp or Superlift if you really want to spend the money on an IFS lift.

Rancho is not the way to go if you want a simple bolt on all around lift. I think the pro comp is the cheapest well rounded choice. Trailmaster is fine but I think you have to trim away some on the lower a-arms mounts where the stock truss bolts to. Superlift has a good name to stand behind but never seen one in use.

From what is sounds like, I think ball joint spacers and some t-bar tweek for a 2-3" lift will suit you best. Cheap and can clear 33x12.50's.

I ran a Superlift suspension setup with rear springs on my 92 pickup for about 3-4 years before selling the truck. The front took a little more work then I would have thaught to put on , but the system was very nice.

If you look at a Superlift kit and a Rough Country lift side by side they appear to be made at the same plant. They both use 1 piece drop brackets for extra strength too.

The kicker is the RC kit is like $220 less than the Superlift.
