JET - Factory ECU Upgrades Reviews?
i'm considering putting in some flow super 40's and also wanted to see if this would be worthwhile.

anyone try this out? my friend was saying he's found this for $60 or so.

The fact that noone's responded leads me to believe that either:
A- noone's bought it or
B- somebodys bought it, got no gains from it, and is too embarrassed to say, lol
i did buy one for an old S10 blazer i had and it did absolutely nothing

The 1st gen ECU's and I think the second gens as well are not really programmable like the news ones. So there is not much you can do for them.
The performance 'upgrades' for earlier ECUs typically just force the air-fuel mixture to run richer by fooling with the signal from the AFM.

You can't really retune anything without a dyno. If JET is producing a non-generic product for the 22RE, they should have before and after dyno runs to prove it.
Richening fuel mixture doesn't necessarily add power.
Advancing timing may help, within the limitations of detonation and pump gas...
Ask them for documentation... I'd love to see it. I've seen nothing on this product to date, other than people that swear that it works.

That's not true.. I remember in the late 80s early 90s they'd have an impact to base timing on the 5.0L mustangs. You know, the same sort of thing that you could do yourself at the distributor.

I've seen Jet ECUs dynoed on several cars and the dyno increases were minimal at best and could be attributed to other incosisstent factors with a dyno.
Ona trubo car they can delay the wadtegate from opening creating more boost thus more power but you can also do that with a 450 manual boost controller.
On a naturally aspirated motor you can't create much useable horsepower by letting a chip increase timing and such, you need more air and fuel.
