Nice job. Was thinking of swapping my bench for some buckets. Do you have better clearance behind the seats now with the buckets or less?

I find that I have more room behind the seats, and its also easier to reach behind the passenger bucket than the former split bench.

What year were those seats out of, they look more comfortable than my 1990 SR5 seats.

I think they were out of a 1990 but I did see two types of lumbar SR5 seats with minor differences in the way the thigh support upholstery was finished. If you look at rdlsz24's picture of his seats you'll see that his thigh supports differ slightly from mine.

Wow, I never knew they had two door handles on the passenger side of the 2 door models...

I do have one question for you:

How the hell did you find a driver's seat with NO TEARS, OR HOLES in it?????

You are so lucky... I bet your truck doesn't even make that special "Yota" squeek when you turn the wheels all the way when turning.......

Oh yeah - I do have the wonderful Yota squeek. It freaks people out in parking lots - they think I'm scrapping the car next to me as I park.:D I gave up on greasing the steering stops when I hit 100,000kms.

Looks great. I used that same center console (The Clutter Catcher) from Wal-Mart when I swapped in my bucket seats last month. I love it...it holds tons of crap (sometimes that's good, sometimes it's bad ;) ).

Your interior is damn clean! Great job.

Cheers. Damn - it was bugging me for days trying to remember the name of the console - Clutter Catcher!!

o and i also installed power windows and power locks. i put the switches in the 3 knock outs in front of the little change slot. the skeaker surround and pocket is made out of MDF (medium density fiber board) and covered with a texture spray and a matching paint to the bluish grey vinyl i used on the door. i will put up better pics as soon as i get my truck back.

that darth vader thing is awesome by the way!

THIS IS THE EASIEST WAY TO LOOK AT THE PICS OF MY TRUCK...

I may have to rebuild my speaker/doorpanels again nick I love what you did with yours.

toyotanick 04-23-2008 04:35 PM

thanks! its really not difficult just slightly time consuming to get it to be prefectly smooth with the bindo. o yeah i forgot to mention the minimal amount of bondo work that was done... sorry

toyotanick 04-23-2008 04:55 PM

what is this "yota squeek" ya'll are talkin about?

It's that little squeeky-grindy noise you get from the steering stops when you turn the wheel to full lock. If you look at the lower a-arm you'll see a little "horn shaped" bit there and another on the back of the front wheel assembly. They are to prevent the wheel from turning too far and rubbing the body/frame. They are ususally covered with a piece of plastic when new but it wears through in no time at all. You can almost illiminate the squeek with the application of a dab of chassis grease on each horn (4 per side) at each oil change.

toyotanick 04-23-2008 06:17 PM

O! yeah i know what that is now. mine definatelly broke off some how.

Vader always gets results! Use as you wish, I didn't create it...stole it from another BB probably.
