interior curiosity...
with 3rd gen PU's, on an extra-cab model, isn't there a plastic cover in the rear of the cab, behind the rear seat?
would that peice fit in the same place on a standard cab? behind the bench in my 91 is rather ugly  and I plan on swapping for some buckets soon (probably after the motor rebuild), and that would expose a lot... but it's just a thought  |
i think its just plastic but im not too sure, i havent payed attention to it. ill snap a pic tomorrow

It is a plastic top piece that extends along the bottom of the window ending at about the corner of the window where it meets a flared notch from the side panels...
below this is a cloth covered cushion attached to the back wall with six screws below that is a plastic bottom plate about 3-4" tall that extends down to the shelf/seats. You may be able to attach the upper plastic piece but the rest would probably be a non starter... You might be better off to fabricate your own custom panel... some 1/8" fibre board or 1/4" MDF with some 1/4" foam and fabric wrap attached would do the job well... |
hmmm, ok... I was under the impression that it went all the way to the floor... dangit...
haha ok, thanks! |
on the 2 gens it was a single piece that went to the floor lol...
here's a link to toyodiy that gives you the part#s for the trim pieces for your truck rear panel http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_199...MDEA_6451.html it appears there are some pieces available for your truck but what they look like I cannot really say... There is a reg. cab in a yard near me with a blue interior... I can check it out and see if the parts are still there/condition... if they are there and look any good I can probably grab them if you are interested... let me know... |

I might just deal with it... maybe put a few coats of rubberized undercoating on it anybody ever though up something clever to make it purdy? |

there's 2 single cab 2wd's in the yard I pass on my way home from work; I might swing in there tomorrow and look, but I think they're both the same way mine is... that is, exposed painted metal...
