I'm having a brake booster issue

Well, thanks to the help of many of you, my '89 pickup 22rE 4x4 is running again, now with a new cylinder head, new gaskets, a new fuel filter and a few other minor mods.

Butttt... I am now having what seems to be a brake booster problem. At idle or low speeds, when I start to brake, my RPM's drop significantly, almost to a point of stalling my engine... Any ideas?? Thanks everyone!

what do you have the idle rpm set at? doesn't some of these trucks have some sort of fuel cut related to applying the brakes?

Not to my knowledge. But, my knowledge is fairly limited... I am still learning. So there very well could something like this and I don't know about it... I will look it up though. Thank you.
Anyone else?

There is a fuel cut if the brakes are applied and the engine RPM is too high. Try adjusting your idle down and see if that gets you anywhere. Otherwise it could be a different issue.

I have adjusted my idle screw already and it hasn't made any difference. But this is only happening once the engine gets to higher operating temperatures. For example, engine hadn't been started in an hour or so, left my driveway, no problems regarding the idle when the brake was applied. Drove around my neighborhood a few times and down the main boulevard, by the time i pulled back onto my street, the same thing was happening.
