ignition problem
Have an 86 22r that turns over but i am getting no spark at all. Got gas flow, battery/power is good, but just will not start.
it is probably the ignitor or the coil. use a volt meter and test those items. where in Indiana are you?
I dont have a volt meter. Im in Columbus
bummer, if you were closer i probably have spare parts we could try. but you are about 4-5 hours away. too far for me
So i replaced coil and ignitor and distribution cap but still wont fire
How much did that coil, ignitor, and distributor cap (that you didn't need) set you back? A Multimeter is $5 http://www.harborfreight.com/7-funct...ter-98025.html (there's a HF in Indianopolis, or they'll mail it to you.)
"Throwing parts at it" is a perjorative. There's a procedure to follow which will identify the problem for you. http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/1990-1995...e/onvehicl.pdf Give it a try; I'll bet it will tell you just what you need. Good luck! |
Oh i got all the at the nice price of $free.99. But mine is a 22r and it came offa 22re still all 12 volt but the wire connectors didn't matchmatch
