How much to cuff off my fenders?
i want to cut about a inch or two out of the front and rear. the front when full flexed rubs, but anybody have pics after cuttting
and what do u do with the edges after you cut them off so there not jagged ting looking |
You can buy black strips to go around the cut section... In canada.. Canadian tire sells it for about $15 for 6 feet... I am sure you can get it at Walmart etc in the states.
|
you dont need no pics, just hack it!
|
Sawsall, hammer, grinder and post your pic's when your done.
Cut till it does not rub. |
or get a 1-2" body lift and keep your sheet metal in tact....
|
Custom comes one sawzall blade at a time.... can't bolt on custom (or is it experience?). In other words cut it before u lift it w/a body lift. Keep that center of gravity down.

well i cut the front fenders, kinda followed the original lines, i used a sawzall and a metal cutting wheel. but for the rear quarter panels, their uni body, im not sure how to cut those?
so anyway here some pics. BEFORE: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...1/CIMG1440.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...1/CIMG1444.jpg AFTER: i think much better http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...1/DSCN0407.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...1/DSCN0413.jpg |
sawz all
|
But now it looks ultra saggy :D
|
The only reason 4Runners look saggy in the rear is because they cut the front fenders higher than the rear. Kinda like they do on trophy trucks and such.
Sorry for opening up an old thread but did you ever do anything to the rear? I plan on saving up for a good lift if I get one and I've got my eyes on a total chaos kit and there will definitely have to be some cutting involved. |
