How long can i let my truck sit?

so my truck broke down, and i dont have the money to fix it. so its been sitting for 2 months, and probably continue to sit for another 4
i still plan on fixing it, so is there anything i can do to help the storing process. because i dont want to go to turn the key and cause damage to the engine or anything else.
oh and it is in a garage.

id start it up ever so often and let the battery keep a charge to it........ either that or drain the gas.

2 months is nothing for a truck to sit.

sabil in the gas tank, and maybe unhook your battery and plug it into a maintainer if possible

A few months wont hurt anything. Ive had cars sit for years and still start with a good battery.

I had mine sitting for 2 years with a broken timing belt. Fixed it, gave it a tuneup and it ran like a champ on 2yr old gas
