how do i block off all the water lines unnecessary to cool the engine?
Toyota pickup 1989, 3.0 vze 6 cylinder. i have a water leak i cant find. its behind the block and i think under the intake manifold. i removed the plenum and still can not find it. i even stuck my phone on a selfie stick down there and still cant find it. how do i block off all unnecessary water lines so i can get back to work.

Could have saved yourself unnecessary labor by entering UV dye into the cooling system.
Did you even do a pressure test?
The u-shaped hose back at firewall could be the culprit

i removed the plenum and it is still leaking under the intake manifold somewhere, is there some way to only have the 2 radiator hoses cooling the engine? i just do not know where the places to cap so no water can leak anywhere. i live in a hot area and do not need the heater but i think the only place to plug the lines off are under the intake and i cant find the other one. any ideas? i am trying to do this without removing the intake as i need to go to work tomorrow.

You can't just plug things up and expect it to run cool.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of your head gaskets is toast.
Maybe you should take it to a reputable mechanic.
The 3vze motor is not for the weary.

There is a metal water tube that lays under the intake manifold.::

I have never seen one that was damaged although i wouldn't rule it out.
I have seen the nipple for the by-pass hose damaged and would not seal.

so the 2 hard tubes are the feed lines (and they are intertwined correct?) for coolant to the heater core, where does the heater water feed back into the engine? i just need to get it running temporarily until i have time to rebuild the engine in my garage.
