to hot to handle vze 3.0
after installing a reman. block in a 1990 forerunner 3.0 vze,had the heads pressure checked(were good),all new gaskets, waterpump timing belt, thermostat, radiator, and flushing all by pass piping the engine is still heating up as it did before all this work. does anyone have a clue as to what I missed? the timing is right on and there are no leaks. I did find a bad heater core but bypassed it.

Did you burp the hoses? If you don't remove air from the engine it will expand when heated, and then it will make hot air pockets which will make the temp gauge skyrocket, make sure you clear out all the air in the cooling system, you can do this by running the engine with the radiator cap off while pressing the hoses to pump the bubbles out. **Only do this when the engine is cold!!**
