Hoses

hey all,

i am confused on a few hoses that need replacing on the 22re.

what is the name of the right angle 2" coolant hose that is down by the drivers side engine mount that from the timing cover to the pipe and where can i get it?

also i want to replace alot of the hoses on the top of the engine, where can i get those? some of them seem to be prefit. using a straight hose would result in a kink.

thanks

Most auto parts stores have cut to fit rad hoses for your truck..

The right angle coolant hose is just called a radiator hose. Most auto parts stores will have it, and I believe it is referred to as a "water pump to pipe" hose. Most other coolant hoses are heater hoses.

Can you be a little more specific about the hoses on the top of the engine? Most of the hoses on the top of the engine are vacuum lines, but there are some other types, also. A lot of the pre-fit ones are probably emission lines.

the hose in question on top of the engine is the coolant hose that goes from the t-body to the thermostat.

thanks for the info, i was just concerned about the bend in the hose.

There are 2 of those little ≈5/8" OD coolant hoses in the vicinity of the TB; They're called 'coolant bypass hoses'; They are very specifically molded to fit: I'd order from one of the discount Toyota dealers online. Added advantage of getting Toyota hoses: T. makes really good hoses.
