HG job done now the truck wont idle

So I put the V6 all back together and now I cant get it to idle. If I start it with my foot on the gas pedal then it will run (albeit not very good) but as soon as I let off it dies. I thought the timing would be off but I cant really check since the truck wont idle. This is what I have checked so far:

Ignition connections
Vacuum lines

Replaced:
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Plugs
Cap
Rotor

Anyone got any suggestions? Could it just be the idle adjustment? But why would it be different now? I am at a loss here and as the minutes tick by I am loosing faith in my work!! HELP!

Would the truck even run if the distributor was off a tooth?
