Hendrix Motorsports Carrier Bearing Support

anybody running this carrier bearing support. i don't want to keep changing it out on my 89 truck. a 1 piece drive shaft is $200, but would rather have the ground clearance of a 2 piece. i know you have to turn down the yolk a little to get a solid fit. http://pirate4x4.com/forum/attachmen...1&d=1157514160

I run one..it is not a bolt-up application..you'll have to fab. a mount for it..you may get a little vibration from it as it's mounted with urithane(sp?) bushings....nice piece though..

fab is no problem. how long have you been running it? where did you get the bearing? did you have to turn the yolk down?

I've been running it for about 3 years(in a buggy) You don't have to turn down anything...Take your existing carrier bearing and tear it apart..remove everything until you get just a bare sealed bearing...That bearing should be a light press fit into the carrier..install snap ring..slide shaft through the bearing...bolt on flange..attatch to mount you have made...peal out

If you need more info let me know..I have one here I can strip dow to get ready for instal
