Red face

If you have exhausted all sources !!!! the best you can do is find a local machine shop that does small custom jobs .

Take all your parts explain what you want done ask for a price if it is acceptable give them the deposit they want pick them up when done .

Since these are Custom might be good to have extras

If not figure out another way to do what your trying to do.

why not ream it out to the proper size and skip the adapter? Looking at the angle of your CV's it doesn't look like you are running long travel or anything special that would require the use of Heim joins

good info on why to use TRE http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/13...-tie-rod-ends/
why are you using heims and not TRE's?

have you tried:

Dude Who put your front end together?
I think someone mounted the steering arms on the bottom, they are supposed to be on top. i could be totally wrong but your front end doesn't look right to me. did you crank your torsion bars or something?

ignore the red circle, borrowed pic from 4crawler off road

you may try contacting http://blazeland.us/
nate might have a suggestion for a source of TRE or heims for you

again I could be totally off on your IFS, but even with a steep angle it doesn't look right to me

IdoHilux,

Total Chaos has a tapered insert that allows you to use a straight bolt. It reduces the ball stud shaft to a 1/2" straight bolt. To counteract the reduction diameter and in strength you need to weld on an additional bracket to the steering arm. This configures the steering arm to double shear. I doubt you will be able to obtain this adapter unless you by the complete bolt kit and steering system upgrade? The next option is to have a machinist turn a "heim Extension Pin" to fit into the taper of the steering arm. Another option is to ream out the steering arm to a taper of a larger rod end, say an FJ-80 or Chevy or something bigger and beefier. Lastly, you can hog out the taper to a straight bolt, of say 5/8" but this large diameter bolt may limit the angle to hi-mis spacer and to the joint. If you search here on YT you can find a post I wrote about these steering complications.
