Heater fan ??
Hi. I have a 93 4runner and the heater fan will not turn on. Ther rear fan does works. I checked the fuses, does anyone know what the 2 realys are above the 2 fuses under the glove box. One fuse is for AC the other is for rear heat fan. Maby I overlooked some other fuses somewere?. Thanks for the replys.

it doesn't work on any speed? my first guess would be to check the blower motor resistor, as that's most commonly the problem. after that, if it checks out (a simple continuity check should suffice), i'd say to check the fuses. then trace the wiring if it still doesn't work. (but it's not likely that the wiring has suffered any damage)

resistor or switch, neither are easy to get at. good luck and keep us posted.

there are 2 plugs that go into the blower motor (under the glove box).
i would test to see if you have power (from the smaller plug, i can photo it if you want). if you have power, its your blower, if no power- well its a hunt and fix thing. |
cool thanks.

here is a pic of the relay/fuse bracket. and one screw holding it on. here is an OLD pic of when i replaced my heater core (mapped all the wires) you can see the color code is similar to the doors power-window wire scheme. but, the plugs go right into the base of the blower, i would recomend to test to see if you even have power before and after your fuse (much faster and cheaper) http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...y/P1020181.jpg i can take more pix later today. (gotta go shopping:xmas8: :xmas1: hope that helps |
