Head gasket parts

Just gotta tell you guys about a good find. Toytech76 mentioned something about a valve grind kit, so I wrote him up for a part #.

thanks man
The head gaskets and all the other gaskets are included in the valve grind kit. Here is the part # 04112-65018
Went into the Toyota dealership yesterday. They've been pretty good in the past always helpful and they take the time to answer any questions, but yesterday I got crazy lucky.
I went in and asked the parts person about this part number I got. She looked it up and it was kinda hidden or subbed up by a couple other part numbers. I gave her my VIN and she did a bunch of other stuff. She stops and says 'your not gonna believe this, it's on clearance or there's been a price drop or something'. How much? regularly $530 and taxes, now it's $215 and taxes and she had one in stock. This kits got everything, even timing cover rubbers.
Then the service writer tells me I got an outstanding recall for a steering item. I asked if the recall includes an alignment, he's like yup. So I'm like hey if I'm gonna put some new tires and do a small lift I should probably do it before I bring it into you guys. He smiles and again he says yup.

It's so nice to have a good experience with a dealership, kinda restores the faith you know.

Good hookup for you and thanks for the part number. I wonder if that clearance price if for all dealerships or just because yours was sitting on a bunch of them collecting dust. Sounds like a REALLY complete kit. Definitely not a bad price for OEM.

OFF TOPIC AS ....

Dood, is that dealership still standing? I heard half your town is burning to the ground... that really sucks man, hope things are under control.

Thanks for the info, just did my hgs a year ago (twice, actually, but dont ask) but still considering it, at that price its cheaper than the crap gaskets you get from Napa. Awesome post, very thoughtful thanks again.
