Hard start and code 11 think its cold start problem

Hey everyone, so my truck is starting hard when its not warm, it take about 12is seconds of cranking to start. sometimes longer and when it starts it barely starts then will idle. It drives fine once going and will start back up fine after its warm. I pulled the cold start switch and cleaned it and the ohms are within range. I have a spare cold start injector and both are at 2 ohms which is fine. I pulled the injector and had a friend crank it when it was both cold and hot and it doesnt spray but fuel it being sent to it. I also had a shop check fuel pressure and pressure is good and the fuel filter is new. I do have a code 11 and im working out. I just dont know what else to check and im pretty sure it is a cold start injector issue. Any suggestion? Thanks everybody. :mrt::safari:

Code 11 (I assume you have a 1988 model) is:
LOSS OF POWER SUPPLY TO ECU

--IGNITION SWITCH/CIRCUIT

--MAIN RELAY/CIRCUIT

--ECU

That would certainly cause hard starting, and probably prevent the CSI from spraying. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/classi...-88-3-0v6.html

Until you resolve your code 11, I think you are wasting your time chasing injectors.

Thanks, I replaced the ignition switch a year ago and ordered a new main relay today. I think there may also be a ground issue or something going on but electrical is my weakest skill. Thank again for the input!

Don't forget that the code points to the circuit, not just one part of it (like the switch or relay). You might have to develop some electrical skill; like wiring an LED onto the ECU power pin, and watch for flickering.
