Graduation Presents!

So I graduated last weekend! Whoo hoo! :banger:
I got some money and a sweet new tool box!
These are some pictures of the toolbox and the new tint I had put on. The tint is 5%, yes I know its illegal, but cops dont really have a problem around here, and I have my front windows down almost all the time anyway. The toolbox is a camlocker, low-pro, deep style. And then there are a couple shots of the good old yota flexing
Also I have some more money left over and was thinking of putting it towards either a locker or even a 5 speed swap. What do you guys think?

91Toyota 06-10-2008 06:05 PM

I don't think thats his trail rig...lol

Justinvd 06-10-2008 06:38 PM

Autos are bunkola, take it from me. Haha and yeah i think its just his DD/weekend wheeler so its not a huge deal either way.

Illegal tint is the best kind of tint.

I'd go for the 5 spd swap. More fun to drive.

tommy316 06-10-2008 09:13 PM

Yeah its my DD for now, and probably for a while. Gas is killing me and also it being so dang sluggish. That is why I was thinking the 5 speed. The problem with the 5 speed is I have never done something so complicated. I would have access to a lift and tools, and another friend to help, but it would have to be done fast so I could get back driving and have it out of the shop in a weekend. I have read the write ups and it doesnt sound too bad, but I am scared of messing something up. I want to only have to do it once. Keep it coming with the opinions guys!

Yup i just graduated a couple weeks ago, all the money i got went to rebuilding the rear diff, new bearings, and lockright.

Nice truck btw!

I'd do the 5spd swap. You'll use it a lot more often than the lockers. I don't care much for auto's, myself.

dirtoyboy 06-11-2008 06:37 AM

Lock that baby up.....a 5 speed swap aint gonna get ya further down the trail like a locker will...

Looks nice

get rid of the plastic bed liner and get it rhino-lined.

jmazoso 06-11-2008 07:34 AM

Sweet Browning sticker. I've got a camo'd one in the same place.

Lucky, when I graduated high school and college I got a big fat nothing. Actually, I guess $27,000 in debt isn't nothing.

Thats not nothing... that less than nothing :D

27,000 aint too bad if you got a college education with it. My sister is graduating this year and her college is going to cost about 27,000 a year.

wonder where she is going to come up with $108,000 :scared:

If that's the case, spend some of that money on tuning up the motor or getting parts for it, cam, exhaust, wires , etc.

Whatever you have left, put towards the wheelin parts!

Just my $.02

Regear if you haven't already that'll be the best way to get power back :bigok:

Jeese has no one said Congragulations? Well congragulations. I'd do the 5 speed swap, i hate autos, even though i have one, I just dont got enough cash to do the swap.

Junkers88 06-11-2008 03:25 PM

Congrats!!!!:grouphug:

That right there is a really nice tool box. If I wasn't already in debt with a truck bed tent set up I'd put a box just like that in mine.

Oh and are those fishin' poles I see? Catch anything??

91Toyota 06-11-2008 04:01 PM

Congrats man! I'm graduating next year:bigok:

Anyway, swapping trannys really won't be that hard...its a truck!

Now, swap trannys in an auto Honda:D

Anyway, how about a new camera?:banger:
