My brother in law just got these in a 37 and he says they make more noise than his swamper's did. His MPG has gone down also by 2 MPG, I had these in a 30 on my Jeep and I loved them, made no big change in noise for me. I wonder if it is the size difference, the lugs on his tires have a pretty big gap between. On a side note, it's good to see people from my neck of the woods on here, I live off 185th by Aloha H.S.

the only thing i can think of is just the pure size of the tire could cause more noise.

Is that what you should run with 33s, 4.88s? I think I have 4.30s now.

If you've been 5 speed from the factory then you have 4.10's or 4.56's. If you saw that big of I difference going from 31 to 33 I would lean towards 4.10's, but you would have to investigate a little to be sure.

And yeah, you should go with 4.88's

I just tried scanning CL in your area and came up empty.

BTW, rig looks good, even with the one 31 on there.

I am running 4:88'a with my 33 BFG M/T's and had 4:30's before. Jumping to the 4:88's will put you back to stock. I am so happy I pulled out my 4:30's as well and upgraded. You will be amazed once you put new gear in as well.

I know where that is, I used to drive by there everyday on the way to work.
I drive an 88 pickup, I had my doors off all summer and there is a pair of lights on the front bumper.

This was when it was clean

Positive they are KM2's, I don't think he would get the two mixed up. This is the exact pic he sent me from the website he ordered them from.

good luck in the search. You should have a yard near you with a set of 4.88's.

Definitely go with 4.88s with your 33s. I have 4.56s in my '95. 4th is only good above 3K rpm. 5th, forget it.....
Yes I know you have a 3vze and I a 22re, but there isnt MUCH power difference between the two

Thanks, I looked at your build thread and didn't recognize your 4runner. I must have missed yours when you saw mine. (that sounds kinda dirty) Nice rig though.
