Good Radiator Company?
What sort of luck have people had with various aftermarket radiators for 22rs?
(My truck is an 89 4runner)
I looked at 'radiatorbarn', but somehow their name just isn't that appealing. Advance can get one for 166.44 ($25 more than radiatorbarn), but..yeah.
Has anyone had an aftermarket radiator blow up?

I bought mine from RadiatorBarn 3 years ago for a 100 bucks it is a 3 row HD for a 22re auto 4x4! All alum construction and has lifetime warranty. Before I replace it my truck would run just below middle of the gauge and now it only comes up to just about a quarter of the way, even in the middle of summer with A/C running in heay traffic! I love mine have purchased about 4 radiators from them for various vehicles and have very good service from them! Just my .02!

radiator barn sells a good quality product. i bought the 3 core "heavy duty" radiator for my '91 when i noticed my factory one had a crack, and i have had no issues with it whatsoever. same goes for the radiator i bought from them that's in my '79.

My buddy put a "cheaper than OEM" radiator in my truck. The spot weld(s) on the top right of the radiator that hold the radiator to the frame broke. I used two part epoxy putty to put it back together. It's fine now. I'll see if I can find the brand and the price.

radiator barn has some decent price radiators. When I replaced the one in my 95 22re it was 300 from the local auto parts store....
looking at their website its more $$ for a 2-core than a 3-core??? only 3$, but still more.

I have had mine for almost 5 years now. Good quality. Perfect fit in my 90 runner. They also threw in a free cap, when I went in to pick it up.

$67 huh...sweet. Definitely keep me posted on that.
A friend of a friend of mine who is a Toyota guru (at least according to the first friend) can get a 'heavy duty' radiator from a company that has the word "Race" in its name for about $150 shipped.
Sound familiar to anyone? The guru guy "swears by" this company.

Installed my radiator that i was telling you guys i picked up brand new for $67 shipped and it is top notch quality, even the packaging inside the box was excellent. Looks identical to the OEM i pulled out and fit absolutely perfect. Im extremely happy so if you guys are radiator shopping i can vouch for theradiatorconnection on Ebay, really good stuff at unreal prices.

if you've got the V6 i don't think it'll show up as an option, as they all used 3 row radiators.
22R-E trucks had a 2 row radiator, and radiator barn sells a 3 row version as a "HD" replacement. pretty much the same as a V6 radiator except i think that the filler neck location or the placement of one of the hoses is different.

Yep, its essientally a 4runner radiator, as my 22RE 4runner had a 3 core. Option 4 is the 4cyl HD radiator... but if you have a v6 its not an option.
