going to be pulling and swapping motors 22re
Going to buy a long block 85-95 22re and swaping it with my 22re thats in my 88yota. When we replace it im going to have to swap some parts off the old motor and on to the new one. Will be replacing water pump, clutch, pressure plate, and fly wheel. Any suggestions on what i should replace as well when installing the new one to avoid mechanical or electrical problems?

I just did that and got my engine at http://www.chsmachine.com/ (7 year, 70,000 mile warranty). I got the hi-flow engine they offer (bigger cam, valves, etc MORE POWER lol).
I would recommend getting new bolts and nuts as when I was torquing mine down some of mine broke off right at the head (15lbs or less) and it was just a inconvenience. I also replaced the oil pressure sensor, water pump, oil pump, timing chain cover, fuel injectors, fuel filter, new belts, new pvc valve, new clutch kit. I also cleaned EVERYTHING (intake, engine compartment, parts, etc) and put some red paint on a lot of it cause it will match my ride
Have fun!

He said nipple caps.... Tee hee... LOL...
I agree with all of the above. If you're already going to have the new engine sitting on a stand with easy access, replace as much as you can so you don't have to do it again at a more inconvenient time. I'd also go with all new hoses and replace anything else made of rubber.

DO NOT replace the timing cover unless there is a NEED for it. ALOT of these yotatech guys like wasting money doing that. Unless you have worn thru your timing cover there is usually absolutely no need to replace it. I too would go with a clutch. Get one from MarlinCrawler...
As for your injectors. NOT new . Just clean em or get em cleaned and rebuild em. anywhere from 20-80 bucks depending if you do em or send em off. They will be like 95% perfect when ya get done.
I just looked at my new nipple caps and they are crackd out...
