Fuel tank drain plug size

New guy here. I just picked up an 89 2wd pickup that has been sitting for a few years. I pulled the plug from the fuel tank to drain old gas. Went to put the plug back and it cross threaded. Wondering if anyone knows what size bolt it is and where to get one.

Welcome!

Are the threads in the fuel tank still good, or are they messed up as well?

I don't know the size of the drain plug as I have never removed mine.

These appear to be the correct part numbers for your truck, but it is always best to check with your VIN before ordering.
You should be able to buy them from your local Toyota dealership or favorite online dealership. I have found conflicting data as to whether or not the parts are still available.

PLUG (FOR FUEL TANK)
Toyota Part Number: 90105-12018

I appreciate it. I ordered one. I matched the threads with my tap and die set, they are m12.00 x 1.25. I'm going to retap the tank threads also. I believe it is the same thread as a lot of oil drain plugs also, should have just tried that.
