Fuel rail leak, banjo bolt? and another Q.
Regarding a 22re engine.
So I put new injectors in today and it's leaking where the banjo bolt connects the fuel line to the rail. I've tried teflon tape, various degrees of tightness and to no avail. I didn't see any kind of washer on there, and from my last battle with this engine (for those of you who've seen my earlier threads) I didn't see anything then, either.. If there's a washer or seal of some sort, it's never been there and I guess I've been lucky until now.. It's a drip..drip leak, if that means anything.
Is this something I am going to have to get at the stealership?
Also, for a while I couldn't get it to fire up but then I did and now it runs like.. idle, chug chug, idle, chug chug.. I assume that's because of the loss in fuel pressure, at least I hope.. If it's anything else, now is the time to find out.. So that's my other question.

Like I said, if there's a seal of some sort I haven't taken notice of any. So the answer to that would be no. Are they generic washers, e.g. can I mic the OD of the bolt and hit the hardware store?
There's a regular washer at the head of the bolt, nothing else.

Should be 2 gaskets/washers (they are not reuseable according to the FSM) http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...31injector.pdf

Thanks fellas, that did the trick! Ran up to the auto store and grabbed a couple copper washers.
Where would I be without YT... Probably sittin' on the porch scratchin' me noggin.
I'm off to drive now.
