Its the 3vze 3.0 my husband rebuilt the injectors be we're wondering if you can over tighten them and if so what will happen if you do

Aren't they just stuck there between the intake and the fuel rail? As in they don't screw down?

Hard to imagine you could "over tighten" injectors.

Here's the manual; look at page 227 http://web.archive.org/web/201311071...90injector.pdf The fuel rail is tightened to only 9 ft-lbs (the rail has rubber isolators, so you COULD over tighten the rail. I'm not sure that would directly affect the injectors.) Note that you should be able to rotate the assembled injectors (the gasoline "lubricant" allows the o-ring to rotate). The manual advises that if you can't rotate them, you probably messed up the o-ring.

And if you did that, I would expect leaking.

Good luck!
