fuel filter to fuel rail line replacement
 

Noticed a nasty kink in the flexible portion of my fuel line that runs from the filter to the fuel rail, it's starting to crack but not all the way through. Anyway, I'd like to replace it before it becomes a problem, called the dealership and the replacement was around 150$. Called the local napa/autozone places but they don't carry a replacement. Anybody know of any other options here? The closest junkyard to me is 45 minutes away and they'll only tell me what vehicles they have there and won't specify what parts are still on them so it's a last resort. 22re 4x4 by the way, thanks

You'd used a junked rubber hose as a fuel line? You're a lot braver than I am.

Think how much more help you'd get if you told us the part number you got from the dealer. Then someone who COULD help you wouldn't have to figure it out on their own.

You didn't provide a year, but I'm going to guess the part you want is 23901-35010.

OR: you could try a hydraulics shop. For a brake line, they can cut off your fittings and screw them onto new hose. I don't know if this would work for gasoline, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. I also don't know if it would save you any money.

Not like I knew about it, shrugged my shoulders and said "f*** it" and kept using it. I just noticed it and will replace it before I drive it again. The dealer didn't give me a part number, just a price. I tried a local place that makes hydraulic lines, but they only do hydraulic lines, not fuel or brake lines and they couldn't tell me of anyone local that did. I had a brake line made for a motorcycle from an online company where you just told them what banjo fittings you needed and the required length, I was thinking along those lines.

I meant replacing your current one with one from a junkyard. Pieces made of steel are usually fine, but I'm reluctant to use something that's basically consumable from a junkyard. All Toyota truck parts in junkyards are at least 20 years old; if yours wore out at 20 years how well is the junk one going to fare?

Since the 3.0 Has the filter on the frame I am betting on a 22R series engine.

Once it gets to the point your gas leak is a few gallons a day.

You can cut the metal lines on each end and replace the rubber line with new fuel injection line and fuel injection clamps
