Front splash guards
I own a 1990 4x4 T4r and after sending it thru an automated car wash found the splash guards did not handle it well and I have not be able to locate the front splash guard replacements and thought I would check with Yotatech community for a possible source.
Comment/suggestions appreciated! Thank you, dave |
im am pretty positive he doesn't currently make them but I met the Rad Rubber guy a while back and he mentioned doing some custom cuts. could be an option.

They seem to show up on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-4Run...-/163261224610
Do these fit? I usually go to a dealer website to check for year-year fitment, but since Toyota no longer makes these that option isn't available. https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/sho...rimLevel=18380 |

Greatly appreciate the input!!. |
A fender-apron "seal"?
https://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/sho...rimLevel=18380 Lakeland's website says they're still available, but if you care, you should call. More importantly, as far as I can tell they are nothing more than some toughened rubber sheet, that you probably could cut with a pair of good scissors. At $20-$70 a piece (plus shipping), I'd start by looking to see if I could source the plain sheet. Making the holes (neatly) is non-trivial; I'd clamp it between two pieces of wood and drill through the sandwich. The fasteners (at least ones quite close) are available from Dorman. Your local parts store probably has a rack of Dorman parts. |
If you have a local junkyard you could try that and as scope said easily made from rubber or even an old set of rubber floor mats:) Also a cheap set set of punches from harbor freight are amazing at punching holes in things. But with my OCD a factory part if available is always my first choice. |

I intend to take the diagram from the Lakeland site and compare to the splash guards currently on the vehicle, appears the Lakeland catalog only list 1 splash guard for the passenger side, I believe there are at least 2? Will contact them to confirm they still carry the items once I have determine which guards I need. I want to thank U's all for the links and suggestions!!. |
