Found the casue of my engine knock/tap
Here are some pics of the damage on my less than 10,000 miles 22re "works" long block from Oregon Engines I installed last year.......
Number 4 intake valve seat was too good for it's home......... I cleaned the nasty oil gunk off before I took the pics. The piston was covered in caked on baked in oil....

Send it back, pretty sure they would warranty it.

they'll warranty it, just a lot of added expense in shipping for myself not to mention all the fluids, cleaning supplies, and time
