Fj 40 axles in my 1st gen.

So I poked around a bit and I couldn't really find a whole lot on people using fj40 axles under their trucks/runners. Is this not a good idea for some reason? There is a guy close to me selling complete axles for $50 a pop and I would be more than happy to go pick up a set for the future swap if they work. :D Anyone have any input or point me in some sort of direction? I would really appreciate it!

So the axles are sprung under and the rear has an offset diff, but what about the front axle? Anyone have any ideas?

not worth it...the front ends are less desirable than a truck axle. less ground clearance and have a weak pinion gear.

Where is this place located? The disk brake fronts are bought up by people wanting to upgrade older drum brakes. $50 is way cheap for them.

The guy selling them is in Denver. Here is the link.

If anyone not in Colorado is interested in them and needs a hand I'd be more than happy to help out. But he says they are all drum versions. :(
