Hi guys,
this is not an useful thread, but here we go:
The rear window of my new for me 4R doesn't work, I opened the back compartments to explore and I found a bag with original tools from Toyota. Probably everybody has them, but I wanted to share some photos anyway.

The tools from the right have the Toyota logo.

The tools from the middle don't have the Toyota logo, but they have the same color that the jack, I don't know what is that grey thing, but it was inside the bag also.

The tools from the left don't have the Toyota logo.

The jack goes from 17cm collapsed to 38cm extended (6,70 to 15 inches).

The jack includes a long arm but I can't take it out of the back compartment because the rear windows doesn't work, so I can't open the tail gate

Maybe everyone has them, I just wanted to share it.

Nice pictures. I don't recall this topic discussed before. Do you wrenches and pliers have the Toyota logo? I don't think those came with the early 4Runner but my dad's '73 Corolla came with a yellow tool roll that had the wrenches and pliers and a folding wheel chock. I'm at the point in my restoration that I'm assembling a tool roll and have found Toyota wrenches, a yellow screwdriver and pliers for about $4 each on eBay. They still sell a Tacoma tool roll for about $12. The old Landcruiser tools go for big bucks.

I'd love it if someone reproduced those yellow tool rolls. I'm nerdy enough to like stuff like that.

The group from the right have the Toyota logo.
The group from the middle don't, but they have the same color than the jack.
The group from the left're made in Germany, probably the previous owner added them.
It was a nice discovery. I bought a 4R to restore also, I'm going to try to do the same with this set, the tool roll needs a lot of love, I hope I can bring it to its former glory also.

Nice find! I have a similar tool pouch in my 86, but no picture of it, yet.
Also got this from Santa. Made with pride in the U.S.A. Using it to organize my combination wrenches. Planning to make more of same for other tools, then I can stash them inside rear quarter panel to save space and keep tools out of sight.

I'll have to take a picture tomorrow but I found a black toyota tool roll at the junk yard and a 10mm/12mm combo wrench at a yard sale a few years ago. I had never seen either before.

Well since I totally borrowed one of those snazzy photos above I should probably participate.

My 94 pickup has a complete tool bag, it's almost in one piece even but due to being stored behind the seat it's pretty ugly.

My 86 4runner only came with the one tool I found wedged in the fender cargo hatch. It's the flat C shaped one. What is that for, I was thinking to remove the wheel trim?

I haven't tried the tool on it, but a straight-slot screwdriver can pry the trim out.

Yep those hub covers. Haven't tried either. I too use flat blades one on each side inserted opposite of each other and flex the retainer tabs inwards.

The 2wd "beauty rings" have a scooped tool to remove them with..

which just reminded me of the rats at discount tire "losing" my premo Texas never touched snow chrome rings. I should have got a quote from Stevenson Toyota for them, manager said they'd pay for them but I couldn't actually find any.

I can take more and better photos of that tool roll, showing details and exact sizes, and upload that info if that helps. Maybe you can find someone who can reproduce them asking a reasonable price for them. Ask for more details if you want.

By the way, this tool roll's in a reasonable shape for it's age, the only reason's because it was barely used. I don't think this material (some sort of vinyl) can survive a daily use, but hey, that talks very good about our Toyotas, we never use those tools on the road, our Toyotas always bring us back home!
