i really dont mind how they're a little skinnier looking. but i'm just really glad to not have racing slicks anymore :D :D :D

Looks great. How noticeable is the power loss?

EWAYota 04-05-2007 03:47 PM

Looks good. Be curious to see how those rims would look painted black....

dude sweet! i want sooooo bad!!!

traben27 04-05-2007 04:02 PM

well you can definitely tell that overdrive isn't going to be such a big thing anymore. but other than that, it sorta just feels more powerful. but i guess its just because all the weight makes the engine pull harder or something. hopefully a new exhaust will help a little with it, but does anyone have any info on that?

nice! now quit yakkin and get some mud on that thing!

33x10.50's are the way to go

traben27 04-05-2007 05:01 PM

yeah i'm liking them so far. they feel so much better than those old tires. I'm about to takin it off-roading to see how they do. i'll let you guys know.

oh and still anyone on the exhaust thing? I think i have 2" piping right now, but is that stock? It already had some mods when i bought it (but it looked like they were going to lower it, not lift it haha) So from what I read will 2.25" piping help with the power and what else should i look for?

Sonofmayhem 04-05-2007 05:30 PM

i have a 2.25 catback on my 22re and i like it. im sure you would, but i also remember hearing something about how the 3.0s need backpressure to run right...im not sure though.

good lookin truck

traben27 04-05-2007 06:06 PM

thanks for the compliments everyone. I took it offroad a little bit and i'm loving these tires. They grip so much more than those old ones and I can tell the whole runner's higher than it was before. I'm really liking my decision for the 10.50's.

ur gonna want 2 1/4 pipes. thats rly whats gonna be best. backpressure is never good. its complicated, but once u get the concept u'll catch on. the perfect sized pipe is one thats not too small as to be restrictive, but the smallest possible as to run the exhaust out as fast as possible. with bigger pipes the air has room to run around and it sits and gets caught up. from what i know the 2.25 is basically what ur gonna want. btw, no idea if i explained that right. but good luck. lol

What gears does your truck have?

???

I went 2.25" on my exhaust with Downey headers a high flow cat and open Borla muffler. Top end was good. Bottom was lame. Lost a lot of low end torque. It felt like driving a two stroke engine. Below 3000 RPM was weak but after 3000 RPM it kicked in noticable. Engine response was slow when reving. I have since fixed the whole power problem with a 3.4 swap.
