extra power outlets
 

went on a little wheelin' trip this weekend to our only national forest (Louisiana) and my factory power outlet starting giving me a hard time. I have ordered two weatherproof 12v outlets with green backlighting to match the dash, one is just a cigarette style to replace the oem spot, the other has two usb slots in it. who all has done a clean install for some extra outlets on their dash? im looking at maybe using the blanks below my radio, I think one is for power antenna idk about the other. pics would be great, looking for some inspiration. heres a random picture of my weekend because it was awesome.

I like the setup on my '85 pretty well. Mine are all running through an aux battery, and the one's with LED's are switched with a switch on the dash. I like being able to use them with the vehicle off. I had the dash mostly pulled apart when I wired everything

you've got the power! so many powers. I considered using the little uselss cubby where some models have the power window switch but its really just on the wrong side to be any use, I think I ordered the same outlet as you that ill be putting in the oem outlet place.
