95 v6 3.0 Engine wont start after swap. Electrical

So this is my first time posting here, but let me tell you, this website has been the only reason why i could figure this out on my own. Now however I am having serious problems with my 4runner.

After I put every back together I tried firing it up. The starter engages and turns over the engine and i am getting fuel pressure but no spark off the plugs. I Traced it back as far as the coil. I found it was getting juice to it but nothing from the coil to the distrubuter. I took coil into an autozone and had them compare it to a new one and all the readings were the exact same as mine.

Does anyone have any ideas? Bad ground? ECM? (i dont know where that is)

Please people i have been vehicleless for 3 weeks... I need my truck!

I am not a 3slow guy but a friend of mine had a no start condition that ended up being the coil/igniter pack was not grounded to the body. He took it off and sanded under it and voila. just a thought.

Also you spark and injectors are triggered from the distributor. Are your injectors firing? You can listen for them while someone cranks. If you do not have injectors either then I would be looking to your distributor/pickup.

Would that be a timing problem? because there is no reason why that would be bad unless i threw it across the room after pulling it during the swap

Even if timing was out it should still have spark as long as the distributor is turning. The spark will just be at the wrong time. I assume you have checked all your fuses ie EFI, IGN?

Yes they all look good. I dont know if this matters, but there was a ground wire that was suppose to attatch to the top of the intake manifold. but i attached it lower on the block pretty much right below the manifold. I dont see why that would matter at all. But maybe..?

Ok so i just read about the mass airflow sensor. And when doing the swap one of my friends unscrewed the conector to that when he should have just unclipped it. Its Probobaly ruined now, but i figured it would go to a default.

As i read on this morning though, i read that someone wasnt getting spark and it turns out that there airflow sensor shorted the ecm and thats why there was no spark. Did i ruin my airflow sensor?

If he removed those 2 screws on the AFM its probably got the thin foil strips torn off the circuit board. Never remove those screws, Toyota never should have even put them there because there is never any reason to remove them. They should have used rivets or something. I was able to re-solder mine back together. Mine would start and idle fine while some of the foil strips were torn, but it might depend on the damage.

Did you re-solder it when you pulled the wires out?

You already have an ongoing discussion regarding your situation and the air-flow meter within which people have suggested the repercussions of removing screws from the meter with a post from you less than an hour old.
Why the need to start a new topic?

Junkyard and find another one instead of trying to solder yours back together.
