EGR noise *Searched*
Well after spending the day at reiter on Saturday my EGR has started making a ticking/clicking noise. I'm 99% sure its the EGR but I guess it could be something else in that area (not sure what else is there that could make noise tho, its not exhaust) I did run my engine pretty hard all day and made some pretty decent water crossings. Anyone have an idea of what could be causing this and what I can do to fix it? If its involved just say that and I'll dump the whole system (my current plan anyways) Thanks

you may have already considered this one, but: fuel pressure regulator, perhaps? mine ticks like a clock on amphetamines, so i think i'm going to switch it out soon as i'm tracking down some other strange engine noises now anyway.
hope that helps some. good luck!

egr *shouldnt* be a constant clicking, if it happens all the time, look at injectors(notorius for clicking noises) or the fuel pressure regulator, or maybe the pulsation dampner.
