Driverside water leak whe it rains
So I searched on here and found most have this problem, and it's the sunroof drain most of the time. My leak is coming out of the heater vent directly above the brake pedal. Where is the drain for the air intake for the heater/ac? Do I just remove the body piece just below the window that has the intake vent in it? Anyone had this problem? Thank you.

I've got this problem, but it seems to be coming out of the drivers side door. I think the water runs down the window and into the door, maybe need new seals or something?

I guess it's possible. It's raining pretty heavily here in Washington state today, so it's really noticeable. It's literally coming out of the heater vent just above the brake pedal. So it would be hard to be the door in my case. Oops, it's a 92 4runner. That might help

Mine had a leak above the drivers kick panel. There is a seam where the A pillar meets the body and the stuffing came out. Squished some wet seal in the crack and it's held for a year now.

is your antenna on the drivers side? I had a mystery leak on the passenger side in my first gen 4runner and it turned out to be a missing grommet in the fender for the radio antenna (had to remove fender to locate the issue).

It turned out to be the window seal. It was leaking up top on the passenger side, running down to the bottom, then running over to the driver side, and the leaking down through the dash. I'm guessing this is my mysterious speedometer problem as well. The passenger side was wet as well. I just wasn't seeing it on the floor mat, but it surely was wet under the carpet.

I got a tip from a window man for finding these leaks. Take the trim off, and spray some soapy water on the seal area. Then blow compressed air around the window seal from the inside. Half my windshield wasn't sealing, and literally wasn't gripping. I was able to pull the windshield out with minimal effort. A terrible windshield job by whomever did it.
