Door Hinges

I have a 1991 pickup, i am looking for both driver side door hinges, all i can find are the lower ones. i am wondering if the upper is the same as the lower, if not then where can i find the upper. i dont want used parts since the vehicle has to go through a salvage inspection.

I bought upper and lower hinges for cheap at nix99. I'm not sure how anyone would be able to tell if they were new or used. You can pull 4runner or pickup hinges, they're the same animal.

the upper and lower hinges are different

OCD---The uppers and lowers are not the same compared to each other. But an upper from a 4runner is the same as an upper from a pickup :D

I did some looking around and all i could find were the lower hinges also. I would order a lower hinge and see if it will work as a top hinge as well, if not then you might have to order the top hinge from the dealer.

MyYota, they are def. different.

wasn't referring to 4runner and truck, just the upper and lower

used hinges on a vehicle so old have a tendincy to be loose. the bushings get loose and thats a fail. chevs are nutorious for it, youll see them with usually a drivers door that dosent line up quite right, and if you grab the back of the door and lift it up and down you can see the pins move.

fuggered up door hinges = fuggered up fender.....ask how i know.

I bought enough to do 4 doors from the dealer around here the ones for the drivers door were worse then mine or gone all ready. In the yards

I didn`t think they were that expensive it has been awhile

we are talking Toyotas, not chevy's.

I have pulled hinges off 30 year old trucks that were fine...

i know its no comparison toys to chev, its like comparing a ˟˟˟˟ sandwich to prime rib, but it was an example, there cant be any play in them is all im saying thats why i dont want used ones
