Done HG replacement - clutch pedal is now dead??

92,V6 3VZE 4x4

Hey guys,
Well, I have everything back together after removing heads to have sparkplug threads fixed. But just noticed that my clutch pedal is now dead? Goes straight to the floor. What have I done? Will it regain 'pressure' once the truck is started??? Everything is definitely all connected, there was no fluid leaking anywhere....

I haven't started the truck yet - I'm one of those guys who decided to peak inside the MAF by unscrewing those two little screws!:bang: :bang: :bang:
So - waiting to try and get a deal on a used MAF before starting it up.

Thanks for any hints re. the clutch pedal.

Well, my 4runner is AUTO, my Mustang 5.0 is a "manual" 5 speed so there is no fluid, but my Kawasaki ZX9 has a hydraulic clutch. I don't know if the 4runners have hydraulic clutches or not, but if they do, you may have knocked the line loose it will need to bled it to fix it.

start by bleeding it

probably just needs some fluid..the clutch master cyl. is right by the brake master cyl.

Did you have to disconnect the flexible clutch hose near the back of the passenger side head, if so you lost some fluid and let air into the hydraulic system. Like the other guys said bleed the clutch, just like bleeding brakes only simpler cause there's just one.

OMG - I'm looking at the FSM on how to bleed the clutch - but I can't determine where the heck this thing is located? Is the bleeder nut/plug right under the reservoir??
Anyone got a pic handy for a dim-whit?

EDIT - Ahhh found a great post with detailed instructions

the bleeder is on the slave cylinder, which is under the truck, it pushes the shift fork in and out, which is on the bell housing of trans, near starter.

Just a quick thanks for the suggestions - you guys were right (as usual), all I needed to do was bleed the system, all back to normal now.
Thanks again
