Doing SAS Swap with IFS Still Attatched?

So I was reading the SAS guide that I found here and it says:
"The first part of installing an SAS kit is to cut off the original IFS. One important thing to remember is that if you are having a hard time finding
somebody to weld the mounts on your truck, one option is to leave the IFS on the truck and drive it to a professional shop and have them weld the
front and rear spring mounts. These mounts do not interefere with the IFS system, so once completed, you can drive home and essentially
perform the rest of the swap. Cutting off the IFS parts can be done with a torch or saw. The only other welding that remains is for the shock
hoops, but those can be done later.
"

Is there anything bad about doing it this way?

It would be nice since I dont know anyone that would feel like letting me borrow their garage and welder for an extended amount of time. Plus im the kind of guy that likes to take his time on large projects like this.

No problem at all. Pretty much everyone without a welder or access to one has to do it this way.

Just follow the directions in your kit (assuming you're not piecing one together) and you'll be fine.
