Does the brake line need extended for HD coils?

Do you have to extend the brake lines if you replace stock rear coils with downey HD coils? Also what size shocks would I need to replace the stock shocks? I want a shock that will give me the best handling on the road. I off-road a little, but I drive on the highway much more. Thanks for any input.

Old Man Emu stuff seems to be a very popular choise among this crowd. I don't have mine yet, but they're on order. The you'd need OME N72F's for the rear with the Downey 2" coils(same as with the OME coils)

As far as the brake line, if you don't offroad much, you more than likley won't NEED it, but it'd be one of those things that if you even did snag the line, you're hooped. So why not just do it, and get it out of the way.

I'm in the same boat--just ordered me some OME coils...didn't order a longer brake line or drop bracket--let ya know what happens when! :saw:

I didn't change the brake line but I did make an adaptor for the LSPV so the rear brakes would still work. I measured the hight from the body to where the arm mounts to the panhard bar before and after the switch. Made it a little bit shorter (about 3/16") to account for future settling and to make the rear end a little more involved with braking. I just cut a piece of 1/4" x 2" strap and drilled the holes.
