Any one with this setup let me know how your mpg is. Do you have good power at hwy speeds. Could you go with larger tires and still have a lil 3.0 umph.

What rpms you cruise the hwy at. And at what speed.

Does your rig crawl as slow or slower than it did with stock gears and tires?

Just bought some 5:29s and just wanna know what to look forward to. I've been runnin 4:10's with 35s for 3 years and im not sure what to expect.

Going to 529 from a 4.10 reference point is a 29% change in gearing......which is also a 29% increase in rpms as compared to before.
What was your rpm at a real 70 with the 410 gears?

My 90 4runner with 35 x 12.5 x 15 5.29 and 244,xxx miles runs at 3000 rpm @70mph not sure if the high mileage has any bearing on the rpm vs. mph but thought you might want to know the mileage for comparison

What did you do to make room for the 37's? How would you rate it as a dd and on hill's? been wanting to go 36/37's just not to sure how it would be as a dd and then after dropin s/c'ed 3.4 in it how if would change it.

Yea, the gear change is nice isn't it? Btw, i had 5.29s in for a week, and it would do 75 according to the speedometer at a hair above 3200 rpms.

im sure i was actually going slower though.

On a side note, How do you like the TG springs?

I like the trail gear springs alot. before my swap i had my torsion bars cranked. The ride is nice. It drives on the road good not much body roll. When you get off road in 4lo they really flex over anything quite nicely. i dont have anything to compare them to except my buddies 3'' TG springs and so far i would say they are great all around.
