Externally gated turbos are just so much easier to control. You aren't limited by the turbo housing size to get that pressure released.

Well, I got to talk to an engineer at driftmotion.com ( he was awesome) he said the divorce would not help, but in fact would probably hinder performance in MY application...

I'll take a few more pics and report on the progress... and how it changed things when I'm finished...
the header is actually pretty nice... good welds, heavy pipe and 1/2" plate where it bolts to the head... better than i expected... i did have to enlarge the holes to make it fit but wasn't bad... the water lines, oil feed, and oil return line bolted right up(plug& play) the other things will require some customization.... TURBO to AFM, Intake to Turbo, turbo/ wastegate to exhaust collector... I'm going with 2 1/2" . |
