Dip Stripping? New Jersey

Hey all,

Starting to lose my mojo with this damn virus effecting everything. Hope everyone is staying as safe as possible out there. Trying to get back on track with my build.

I think Ive made the decision that I want to have my frame dip stripped and then I will go about painting it with extension tubes and whatever other means necessary inside the frame rails and fresh paint on the outside. I Think I may have covered this in another post but wanted to start a fresh topic.

My question is....Does anybody know of a place in New Jersey that does dip stripping?

I found two places so far but one is about 5 hours from me and the other is about 3.5 hours from me (both outside of New Jersey). I was hoping to find a place that was closer maybe even in the same state. Does anybody know anyone?

If I can't find someone closer I will probably end up driving the 3.5 hours. My only concern then is getting it back in a timely manner and getting it painted before it can start to flash rust. I will not be stripping the body or bed. Just the frame.

Drum roll please.......The winner is this place in Maryland not only because its closer but because the woman who runs it has been much more flexible with me than the other place which seems to be more corporate and have the you bring us the frame and well do it mentality rather than me being able to see the process or have any input on how its dipped to achieve the best possible result for my particular project. Now my concern is making sure I neutralize the acid well enough and painting it in a timely manner to minimize flash rusting as much as possible. They offer a coating to eliminate flash rusting but I want to stay away from that because that is just more to interference to worry about with the primer and paint. I know the best way to neutralize acid is by rinsing with water but If anyone has any input on neutralizing/ rinsing methods before painting any info is appreciated. I hate the idea of rinsing bare metal with water although I guess I could follow up with another rinse of acetone or something right before applying primer and paint? whatta y'all think?
I shall take pictures.
