difference between sfa and ifs hubs

i know that the spline count is different on the SFA and IFS hubs, but i have a set of NOS (new old stock - never been installed) hubs for a SFA, but i would like to use the hub body with IFS innards on my 4runner. i noticed that the depth of the beveled edge on the inside of the hub body is slightly more recesssed on the IFS hub body, but everything else is the same on the two. my question is, is there any reason i cannot use the SFA hub body? i know i can put them on the truck to see, but i didn't know if anyone here had already been through this and could offer any insight...

This site says that the extra recess you see is needed to clear the sbindle nuts. I have never tested it in real life, but the site has some good info.
