Diff parts - Compatibility ???

hey, does anyone know if diff parts (3rd) from a 90 pickup will work for an 89? Haven't really even been able to get under the truck to see if it's even close yet (fresh snow this week). Anyone have any idea?

to see if something will fit i'll usually go look up the part on autozone or advance auto parts or rock auto and check year against year to make sure the part numbers are the same
