Hey guys, i only made a few posts awhile back what i ended up doing was a engine swap for my fathers truck. We took the good running v6 which we did a fresh gasket replacement out of his 91 4R and put it into a 93 4x4 that he bought for real cheap with a crap v6. There was only minor differences, or so i thought but now im not quite sure when its comming down to wiring and such. Heres some more background info on what i did so hopefully someone can help out.

Its basically the entire 91 3vze motor, using the distributor, wiring harness, ecu, and ignitor/coil from the 93. had to change like 2 plugs but it all seems to work fine. i can get the motor to crank over, i can smell fuel, but theres no spark. pulled no 1 plug and grounded it and im seeing nothing. i need to know exactly how this engine set up works so i can break out the volt meter and start tracing it back. i looked at both wire harness and the wire colors were all the same for the distributor and coil, but they had different plugs which is why im using all the 93 stuff with the 93 harness. the distributor is spinning, replaced new cap and rotor. not sure if i missed a ground or something but i need some help! this project has been going on all summer and i cannot wait for it to be finished! thanks for any help!

ummmm anyone? nobody has any ideas? come on guys need this damn thing running!

Did you reconnect or do you have a good ground (EC) on the rear of the right hand cylinder cover? Among other things this is the ECU ground.
