Crappy mpg after new coil pack and tune up.

'99 4Runner, 3.4, 5spd, 156K miles. I had the coil pack on cylinder 3 go bad. Replaced coil, wires and plugs. Also changed fuel filter while I was at it. Mileage before coil started failing was averaging 17-19mpg. Mileage dropped to 14-15 when truck was running poorly. Just filled up after a week with the new parts in, and I still only got 14mpg. I cleared the code after the new parts went in and the truck is running great, just crap mileage. Any ideas?

Thanks, Hodag

you'd get more answers in the right section. i would double check all the plugs are pluged in to the correct location. also maybe switch the coil pack around to see if it changes the CEL code. i was also getting a misfire cylinder 3. toyota had replaced the plugs 2 years ago. needless to say my plug was wicked loose, and it solved my misfire.
