Corvette 1... Sunfire 0... 4runner... 0

Sunfire and 4 runner were parked (back of the 4runner was about where the knocked over tree was). But the 18yr old who's mom and dad just bought him the corvette last week - was only doing 70km/h y'know... Residential side street - playground not 100' away...

I don't see good future for the 4runner... When fire dept popped the hood (with an 8' prybar) I noticed the passenger side frame rail was buckled just in front of the engine mount... Winch almost looks good - except the motor seems to have an awkward bend to it now...

Obviously the parents should have made a better judgement in giving their 18 year old a car that was beyond his driving skill and resposibilities.

What a DUMB ASS. I'm sorry for your loss. Hope everything gets worked out with insurance. I know that can be a big pain.

PS: Is that a C4 Vette with C5 wheels?

Rob

nope those are c4 wheels, little more curvature to them

I was a naive little douchebag when I was a kid driving, still like to drive fast now, but ive been on the track past 170mph too may times that I know how to drive

after that crash, they need to send their kid off to a defensive school for like a week and make him work to pay off the debt on that car too.

Hope you guys get everything straightened out. When i was 18 it was hard to push my car past 70, 4th gear was so messed up.

When i had a sporty car, i was scared at first, then i got the hang of it. I kept everything under control, never went fast because when i got it thats when gas prices starting going up.

I actually work for the Transit authority in the city this photo was taken.

I look after our GIS system which among other things has all our stops in a map database and one of our projects this year is to take photos of all our stops and link them to the stop points on a map for planning purposes,etc...

These photos are defintely going on our system!
hahahah

You can send my photo license fee to...

No not in the middle - Vette hit sunfire, sunfire hit 4runner (sunfire actually has 3 impact points - front, rear and side - not including tree damage to passenger door).

That's good. The person in the middle get's shafted everytime. Out of everyone, you will be the most taken care of, insurrance wise that is.
