cooler air intake for 22re in 5 easy steps (pictures inside)

Step 1) Pull the fender.
Step 2) Cut some holes.

Step 3) Install duct work.

Step 4) Install Canister.

Step 5) Put back together and take a picture of the new visor (not really needed for the intake).

Oh and step 6 is start complaining because you found a leak in the radiator while you were doing all this mess.

It didn't take very long once I decided to do it (about an hour all together) and I made sure to leave a large gap at the bottom of the part in the cowl area to let water run under the ducting. We'll see how it works. I already like the way it sounds.....

Don't be hating, this is just the first one. I've got plans in the works for a better one. This one is really just so I can see if I get any increase in MPG from drawing cooler air from outside the engine compartment. I also lost that mild (but annoying) lag I had at 2700rpm when the engine is warm.

Ouch! *grin* Yeah I'll do something more crazy on the next one. My biggest issue is the filter mounting/canister. I might have that locked down once I figure out how to actually seal this one then redoing the duct work is easy.

You fail to mention pre-step-one relocate battery to driver's side

Um.... you can't laugh, really. The hose is an exhaust tube for a dryer (yes the one in your house) and the canister is a 6" ID coupling, cut down, for AC applications.

Well if you run a Supra MAF that goes without saying. Sorry to have missed that step.
