Cold Start Injector Test
I'm running very rich and thinking my cold start injector may be stuck open. Probably a fairly easy question but just wanted to make sure. Will I be able to unplug the injector at operating temperature when it's running rough to see if that will clear up my issue? Is this a way of testing the CSI?

That will tell you if your CSI circuit failed in a way to provide current to the injector. It's an unusual failure, but there's no harm in doing that test.
A more likely failure would be the injector stuck open, so that it is leaking fuel even with no start signal. (I don't think this is common, just more common than a signal failure.) You could test that by pulling the injector out, and then running the fuel pump by jumpering FP to B+. You should get no fuel out of the injector unless your are cranking (and it's cold enough, etc.) |
try crimping or clamping a rubber section of the CSI supply hose whilst it is running if its stuck open you should hear a change
