Not to be a smartass but are you sure it was the right screw?
I recently cleaned mine with
carb cleaner and a small brush and my idle was fine afterward.
But, I have had to turn mine down and the screw
turned it right down to where it
needed to be (800rpm if you weren't sure)

It doesn't idle high when I first start the truck. It idles high when i pull up to a light around 2000 rpm then I can tap the throttle and it will return to 800 rpm.

The idle increases because you clean out the gunk from passages around the throttle plate, thus more air can get past. Make sure your throttle plate is properly seated in the intake and try a little WD40 on the part of the throttle where the cable attaches.

Idle screw is adjusted all the way in. It idles about 1100, but when i pull up at a light the rpms jump to around 2000-2500.

make sure the cable is not holding the throttle open.

If not pull the boot and make sure you didn't leave a chunk of "gunk" at the top of the housing that is holding the throttle open.

You say you can tap on the throttle to get it to idle down, Can you actually see the throttle close some when you tap on it?
